The Registry Optimizer is a separate, bundled tool that compacts the registry. While we can't swear our PC ran more quickly, nothing bad happened, and at least we knew the garbage had been taken out. Vit removes a variety of unnecessary entries from your registry. It creates automatic backups of your registry before it changes anything, so it's safe for beginners.
